Technical Sales Consultant- Microsoft Cloud, Unified Communication and security technologies


Main responsibilities

  • Managing Technical sales for Corporate customers.
  • Shaping customer decisions to buy, architect and adopt Microsoft Infrastructure and App solutions.Microsoft Azure solutioning, Disaster Recovery Solution design, storage and backup, hybrid solution, virtual machine scale sets, automation, office 365 solutioning, deployment, migration, etc.
  • Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximize client potential in designated regions
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements
  • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
  • Arrange and carry out product training
  • Analyze costs and sales
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Help in the design of custom-made products



Desired Skills and experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a technical Sales consultant – preferably handling Microsoft experience for all these years
  • Certification as well as experience in selected Microsoft Cloud services -Exchange, Office 365, Skype for Business/Lync is required. Experience in Microsoft Azure is not mandatory but is a big plus.
  • 2+ years of consulting and direct experience with Skype for Business/Lync Enterprise Voice, planning, deployment and operational support
  • 2+ years of professional project design and delivery of Enterprise-level Microsoft UC Solutions
  • Knowledgeable with telephony and PBX Systems (Cisco’s, Nortel, Ayaya, etc.)
  • Experience providing network assessments and troubleshooting client environments
  • Demonstrated technical architecture design, configuration & implementation, migration & coexistence expertise for medium to large sized enterprise voice & messaging infrastructures with the following technologies:
  • Strong technical documentation skills, ability to clearly record key information within incident tracking and knowledge base systems
  • Some knowledge on SQL Databases
  • Experience in scripting languages like PowerShell
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Strong communication skills; ability to present to small/medium groups
  • Demonstrate ability to proactively look for process improvement opportunities, challenge conventional practices, and adopt new methods and best practices. Also focused on continuous self-improvement.

Preferred Educational/Certifications Qualifications

The below are important but not necessary if the resource has experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
  • MCSE: Deploying Enterprise Voice with Skype for Business 2015/Communications
  • MCSE: Core Solutions of Microsoft Skype for Business 2015/Communications
